EIS have created an online survey for Challenge Poverty Week titled: How is poverty continuing to affect children and young people’s education in Scotland?
The EIS Equality Committee has been gathering teachers’ views on the impact of poverty in education for the past six years in a number of ways, including through member surveys. The last survey of members on their perceptions of how low income is impacting on children’s and young people’s participation in, and experience of, education, and on the associated outcomes, was done in session 2016/17.

The Committee is keen to engage with members again on this important issue, and would very much appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey. Depending on the answers that you give, it should take around 15 minutes to complete, and will be invaluable in shaping EIS campaigning, policy and professional learning offered to members, including through the new PACT project.
