Challenge Poverty Week Donation Drive

Date: October 1, 2018
Time: 12:00 am  to  12:00 am

The STAR Project

A 2017 study by children’s charity, Plan International UK, estimated that one in ten girls (aged 14-21) has been unable to afford sanitary products and a further one in seven has had to borrow tampons or sanitary towels because they couldn’t afford to buy their own. For the past year, STAR Project has been tackling #PeriodPoverty by making sanitary products freely available in their toilets which is vital in reducing any stigma attached #NoNeedToAsk. But during Challenge Poverty Week they will be increasing their requests for donations of sanitary products, so their volunteers can distribute the donations to members of the Paisley and Glenburn community in a public awareness campaign called #LadyBusinessBuddyBags
