Human Trafficking in Scotland (private training event for CAP frontline staff)

October 8 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Sadly there are growing numbers of people trapped in slavery in the UK. It is becoming increasingly common for British men to be recovered from trafficking for forced labour and children for drug trafficking. Often referred to as ‘hidden in plain sight’, human trafficking has been found in every area of Scotland. This webinar will help CAP staff recognise the signs of human trafficking and know what you can do. We believe everyone deserves to live in freedom with dignity and respect and in a slavery free Scotland. We are committed to ensuring the recovery and long term wellbeing of survivors of human trafficking, supporting them to rebuild their lives, minimising the risk of re-trafficking and empowering their integration into society.

As financial insecurity is one of the factors that can make someone vulnerable to being human trafficked, Christians Against Poverty have decided to enhance the awareness of their staff to this issue.
